Was my Voice ascending on the conference call, negotiating a deal, presenting or while leading a group?

A woman must discover the beauty, power and importance of their ‘female Voice’ in their ‘work environment’.
Whether it is during presentations, board meetings or conference calls, sometimes the female Voice tends to go to a higher tonality which is often mis-understood as being; emotional, insecure or nervous.
The ‘Woman’s Voice’ can become very powerful and commanding with conviction and leadership speaking with dignity and not having the feeling that she has to raise her Voice or put stress on her Voice to be heard. How?
Physiologically, the Woman’s Voice is placed at a higher tone unlike the nature of the male Voice which is physically pitched lower when he states his comments. On the other side, women invite their listener’s ear by wanting to include them in their thoughts and reactions. Therefore, it is natural that the nature of the female Voice goes up in tonality. From the physiological point of view, the man’s Voice is physically stronger in the muscular tone of the vocal chords which is why some have booming and/or deeper Voices and better tone resonance. The woman’s Voice physically has a higher tonality which gives them more expressive and vocal variety. Therefore, she must keep the focus of her Voice more direct and to give her Voice more volume emphasing the important phrases or words to make a point by using better breath support.
Often some of my female clients say it would frustrate them when they say something important in their meeting and after a short while one of their male colleagues says the exact same thing and that male colleague gets the acknowledgement or credit! I asked them to reflect on how he said her idea. Women have to speak logically, not emotionally, get to the point and emphasise the right words and speak with more conviction, more presence and know when to accentuate words which are important”.
Have any of you experienced that same situation? If so, reflect back and ask yourself these following questions when you were speaking whether for a few minutes or giving a full Presentation?
1. Was my tempo too fast or the same throughout the entire speech?
2. Was my volume not strong enough when speaking and especially communicating the important points?
3. Was my vocal tone the same inflection having no color and ascending while speaking?
With our diverse global world, there is a need for more women to lead and execute leadership roles in both the business and political platforms.
It is for this reason why women must know how to deliver and execute their Voice to its maximum potential.
After all, women have the advantage of being born with naturally expressive Voices”.
